Interesting Handmade Typography

This blog post is a simple appreciation of interesting typography created from real life objects.

Frequently I feel like I spend too much time at a screen and not enough time 'making', either learning a new skill (like knitting, which I would actually love to learn!) or experimenting with ideas by hand. There is such a sense of pride to be had when building something from scratch and I think it brings often brings a sense of playfulness to projects, like the below examples.

My favourite of the below images is the 'meat poster', the concept is so simple yet effective, right down to the tomato sauce type. It reminds me that the best design is not always made up in Adobe but quite often crafted by hand, which I often think makes it far more beautiful.
